Precautions:
This product is primarily an irritant and causes burns and ulceration of all tissues it comes into contact with.
When inhaled, it can cause sneezing, hoarseness, laryngitis, difficulty breathing, respiratory tract irritation and chest pain, nosebleeds, ulceration of the mucous membranes of the nose and mouth, pulmonary edema, chronic bronchitis, and pneumonia.
In the eyes, it causes irritation, pain, tearing, corneal erosion, and even blindness.
On the skin, it can cause severe burns and dermatitis.
If any of these symptoms appear after contact with nitric acid, immediate medical attention is recommended.
