SODIUM CHLORITE 80%

The main application of sodium chlorite is the generation of chlorine dioxide for bleaching and stripping textiles, pulp, and paper. It is also used in municipal water treatment plants to produce drinking water by generating chlorine dioxide on-site from sodium chlorite. It is used as a disinfectant in many food and beverage plants, in the processing of slaughterhouse waste to reduce odor, and in water treatment for disinfection and the removal of iron and manganese. It is used as an ingredient in the production of oral rinses, toothpastes, mouth sprays and gels, and contact lens cleaning solutions. In air conditioning and heating systems, it is used to disinfect pipes and ducts, preventing the spread of harmful bacteria. It is also widely used in slaughterhouses, in holding areas and rooms where animals are kept before slaughter, as a disinfectant for cleaning walls, floors, and surfaces in general. Chlorine dioxide generated from sodium chlorite has been approved by the FDA under certain conditions for disinfecting water used to wash fruits, vegetables, and poultry.

(Gloves, protective eyewear, face mask…) 13) Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling or applying this product. 14) Follow the established uses and application instructions. 15) If the product is not pre-mixed, follow the dilution instructions on the label. 16) Observe the expiration date. 17) Properly dispose of the container and any remaining contaminated or expired product. Avoid releasing it into the environment. 18) If you feel unwell during use or experience any unpleasant reaction, stop handling and/or applying the product. 19) Be aware of first aid procedures. 20) If you require medical assistance, have the original product container or label readily available.
